As a mom of three whose life is unpredictable, Catie wanted to ensure she could prioritize her fitness whether on vacation, home with sick kids, or juggling a hectic schedule. Sarah found this struggle relatable and wrote a routine that could be done from anywhere. What started as a fun challenge, evolved into a mutual determination to develop the routine to perfection. Weekly run-throughs and re-writes lead to the co-creation of Foundation, The Build’s first routine. Much like Ashtanga Yoga, the structured choreography allowed them to track their development, master key elements, and progress through increasing levels of difficulty, all while enjoying the Build’s dance-like flow. 

What began as a take-anywhere workout for one, turned into something they wanted to share. The Build is a joyful expression of hard work, collaboration, and creativity that is best enjoyed with friends. Catie and Sarah are committed to developing a community willing to work towards meaningful functional goals rather than chasing fitness trends. At its core, The Build is about having fun while exploring the many ways we can challenge and express ourselves through movement.
